At first glance, it has all the characteristics of a classic inflatable SUP. From the outside, it looks like a kind of scooter or bicycle on the water. It is easy to use and suitable for a wide range of people. Whether you are a regular paddle surfer or not so keen on water activities, the Mirage iEclipse has something for everyone. The step up paddle offers better balance than a paddle with oars. Here, it’s your legs that move you forward. The board is equipped with a handlebar and an underwater fin system that, once installed, transforms your board into a true step up paddle. These fins are powered by the strength of your legs, with alternating supports, like an elliptical or step machine in a gym.
It’s a great way to work on your cardio, legs and glutes, just like a fitness session, while enjoying a water ride. You won’t lose your balance with the paddle movements. The fin system allows you to move forward in a straight line, without having to constantly paddle more to one side than the other to compensate for any deviation. Propulsion is therefore particularly efficient, with no loss of energy. Turning is also made easier thanks to the intuitive one-hand steering system attached directly to the handlebars and the board, so easy to use that you can turn on the fly with a simple push or pull of the handle. Like the paddle, the step board is wide enough to carry your kids, your dog or a cooler for a picnic. It’s the perfect way to open yourself up to a whole new style of hiking and backpacking – without even having to get wet!
